It is a construction project delivery system where, in contrast to traditional "design-bid-build" the design and construction aspects are contracted with a single entity known as the design build contractor. This system is used to minimize the projects risk for an owner and reduce to delivery schedule by overlapping the design phase and construction phase of a project. Where the design-builder is the contractor, and the design professionals are typically retained directly by the contractor. The design/build concept eliminates communication issues between separate design builder entities.

Throughout the design process there will be an in house designer assigned to your project and you will be working directly with that person throughout the design process and pricing. Once the job goes into production our project manager will be your main point of contact. If they do not have an answer for you they will call to find the answer. You are more than welcome to contact the office at any given time during your project to have questions addressed. Our office is staffed 8-4:30 Monday - Friday. If you wish to speak with an owner at any time during your project they will be more than happy to answer any questions or  concerns you may have.
 

All of our current employees have had thorough background checks. If they did not pass, they are not employed by us. All our employees are reliable and dependable if they prove otherwise they would not be working for D & J Kitchens and Baths. Our reputation in the Sacramento community is our most valuable asset.
 

We supply you with seven full pages of references segregated by zip code, we ask that you call any of the references and ask as many questions that are of importance to you. We also supply you with a list of our subcontractors who will also answer any questions. We will give you an example guideline of questions to as our references.
Examples: Did they start your job on schedule? Was the crew responsible to your home and its surroundings? Were the subcontractors receptive to questions while working in your home? How long did the design process take? Did the employees show up with they said they would? How were any problems resolved? Etc.
